The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy

The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy is a fighting game based on the television series of the same name it was developed by High Voltage Software and published by Midway. It came with a DVD with behind the scenes footage and the season one episode Little Rock of Horror. The game was released only in the United States.

Storyline
When Grim's Mojo Balls get unleashed into the city, causing normal people to senselessly fight each other, It's up to Grim, Billy, Mandy, and Irwin to save the world. However, the other characters they run into aren't about to go down without a fight...

Gameplay In the game, you can execute light and heavy style attacks. It will support 2-4 player Multiplayer and solo or co-op Story Mode. The environment is very interactive. For example, you can deform objects in the environment. There are different weapons scattered through all the levels such as an axe or a club. Treasure chests contain weapons, cupcakes, hamhocks, (which are health restorers) and orbs which fill up your Mojo Meter. When you fill up the Mojo Meter once, you can get close to an opponent to perform a Mojo Smackdown, where the character attacks the opponent with a barrage of punches, kicks, and slaps, and destroys the opponent with a piledriver. When you fill up the Mojo Meter twice, you can perform a Mojo Meltdown, which is an instant KO to all opponents. The fights will begin with a banter from each player on the playing field.

A weak character with strong defense and good speed. He smacks opponents with the spellbook from Beast and Barbarians.

Mogar/Harold
Weapon of Choice: Guitar/swordfish
Unlock: Beat Story Mode
A slow and strong warrior. He attacks with his guitar unless he is wearing his fisherman suit. He then uses a swordfish. Mogar is actually Billy's dad, Harold.

Eris
Weapon of Choice: Apple of Discord
Unlock: Beat Story Mode
Well balanced attack, low defense, but is fast. She uses her Apple of Discord.

Nergal
Weapon of Choice: Tentacles
Unlock: Beat Story Mode
A weak fighter with super defense. He smacks with his tentacles/snakes.

Fred Fredburger
Weapon of Choice: Frying pan
Unlock: Beat Story Mode
Slow with strong defense and strength. He uses a frying pan in fights.

Hoss Delgado
Weapon of Choice: Cyborg hand
Unlock: Beat Mission 9 of Tier 1 in Mission Mode
Slow, but extremely powerful, he has low defense. He uses his cyborg hand's chainsaw.

Dracula
Weapon of Choice: Cane
Unlock: Beat Mission 5 of Tier 2 in Mission Mode
Slow and weak, but with strong defense. He smacks with a cane.

Jack o' Lantern
Weapon of Choice: Sack
Unlock: Beat Mission 9 of Tier 2 in Mission Mode. Well balanced like Grim. He strikes with his sack of pranks.

Nergal Jr.
Weapon of Choice: Tentacles
Unlock: Beat Mission 9 of Tier 3 in Mission Mode
Speedy, weak, and sneaky. He fights with his tentacles/snakes like Nergal.

Boogey
Weapon of Choice: None
Unlock: Beat Mission 9 of Tier 4 in Mission Mode
A strong character with bad defense. He slaps other fighters with his hands.

General Skarr
Weapon of Choice: Rapier
Unlock: Beat Mission 6 of Tier 4 in Mission Mode
A quick, strong, and unexpected character. He strikes with his rapier.

Lord Pain
Weapon of Choice: Mace
Unlock: Beat Mission 9 of Tier 5 in Mission Mode
Very powerful, ok speed and bad defense. He uses his mace.

Horde Characters:
Horde Characters can only be played as in Vs. mode. They can't use items or pick things up, but other than that they are strong fighters.

Weapon of Choice: Sword
Unlock: Beat Story Mode once with every character and destroy every letter during the credits game.

(The Brain-Eating Meteor appears as the final boss in Story mode, but he is not playable.)

Thor's Hammer
Can be used to whack enemies or can be slammed, creating a shockwave.

Bone
Stuns enemies.

Brain-Sucking Gun
Steals opponents' brains, which can then be thrown.

Mojo Mace
Smacks out an opponent's mojo.

Spiked Club
Self-explanatory.

Halberd
Self-explanatory.

Black Knight's Sword
Steals opponent's health.

Toadblatt's Wand
Turns an opponent into a frog.

Conqueror Worm Gun
Fires an exploding worm.

Mind Control Gun
Brainwashes enemies, allowing you to damage them by canceling the mind control, or usually drive them off a ledge.

Pandora's Box
Explodes on impact.

Flamethrower
Sets enemies on fire.

Pane-O-Glass Gun
Shoots several square window panes.

Vacuum
It's the same as grabbing an enemy, except it can grab enemies from a distance and the enemy can't escape until after a while, where the vacuum will randomly let go.

Bomb
Self-explanatory. Found in "Burning Down The House".

Beehive Bomb
Swarms anyone caught in the explosion with bees. Found in "Orange Terror".

Scythe 2.0.
Fires lasers.

Ice Cream Cart
Freezes all nearby enemies and teammates.

Grill
Sets all nearby enemies and teammates on fire.

Mojo Ball
Fills up little mojo in Mojo Meter.

Food
Ham bone = restores little health. Pie = restores medium health. Chicken = restores entire health meter. Cookies = fills both Health Meter and Mojo Meter. Cupcake = gives the character a temporary speed boost.

Power Loader
A storage loading vehicle that can grab enemies or send them flying by slapping them. Found in "Clucking Doom", and in certain parts of "Coliseum of Chaos".

Trivia
In the game, the arena "Boogey Bay" can be seen in concept art, along with the River Styx. It appears the main villain of the movie is Boogey, plus he wears a pirate costume (must be going for a pirate theme) in the game.

When the player beats "Fight For Your Afterlife" in Story Mode, Irwin, trapped in a wooden prison, says "Raggle Fraggle", a recuirring gag from the show.

In the scenery of the mead hall, you see a bear-skin rug which looks like Boskov of Evil Con Carne, another joke between this show and the other.

Mandy's Mojo Meltdown has her smile to tear apart the fabric of the universe, like in My Fair Mandy.

Dracula's Mojo Meltdown consist of disco dancing, similar to in Home Of The Ancients.

Cerberus from Mandy Bites Dog appears in the scenery of "Burning Down The House". During the "Cerberus' Rampage" part of the battle, Cerberus literally tears through the backyard, where a fighter can get into a chair strapped to Cerberus, take control, and make it breath fire from its left head, middle head, right head, or any combination of the three, as well as grabbing an opponent in its mouth, chewing on them, and spitting them out.

Eldridge-Johnson Mayer also appears along with Cerberus (since he appears dormant in every other episode besides The Taking Tree), where hitting him will make him spit out a Mojo Ball, a birdbath, or a grill.

The giant Fluffy Cat from He's Not Dead, He's My Mascot appears in "Coliseum of Chaos". Throwing someone into him 3-5 times will make him cough up a hairball, with a Mojo Ball, a weapon, food, or a power loader.

The robot that falls during Skarr's Mojo Meltdown is not his Stabbin'-Flabber, since the Stabbin'-Flabber and the robot Skarr uses to steal Grim's scythe (before he decides it's too clunky) aren't remotely similar.

The announcer of the game is "Weird Al" Yankovic, who has played the Squid Hat in the Nigel Planter episodes of the show.

At least once in most levels, Pud'n can be seen tied to something, or in some other form of peril. Pud'n can be seen in a hole in "The Mead Hall", in another hole in "Down Under", sitting on a platform in "The Parapets", tied to the mast in "Boogey Down The River", sitting on a jar of eyeballs in "The Desk", and stuck to the higher wall with somesort of webbing in "The Mine". Sperg can also be seen twice during "Deep in Evil", crammed in a doghouse in "The Parapets" and in the following cutscene.

At "The Desk" you can see a checker board with Nigel Planter and Lord Moldybutt pieces.

Most Costumes come from episodes of the cartoon.

When Irwin defeats Jack, he says "Pumpkins SUCK!"

In Attack of the Clowns, the same music in the scene where Billy is chasing Grim and Mandy due to his inner frat boy telling him to do so is used (only sightly extended) in the first part of Boogey Down The River. In the second part, the Dinobonoids theme is used from Toys Will Be Toys, and in the first portion of the stage "Fight For Your Afterlife", the music can be heard from the part of the episode The Secret Snake Club where the Junior C.I.A chases Leaky Collon.

Darkness by SPF1000 from Battle of the Bands is heard in the end credits.

In the beginning of Orange Terror, there is a gravestone with "M. Atoms" on it. It stands for Maxwell Atoms, who created the show.

When you fight the evil Brain Eating Meteor in the end of story mode, the song "Brains!" from Little Rock of Horror is playing.

On the "Billy and Mandy's Big Boogy Adventure" DVD cover, if you look closely, you can see Billy and Mandy's robot versions, which suggest they were built by either Boogey or Billy and Mandy themselves.
